An Analysis of Dietary Attitudes and Demographic deffernces of Elderly according to Dietary LifeStyle Types

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : In order to analyze the dietary attitude and demographic differences of senior citizens in accordance with each type of dietary lifestyle.
Methods : This study collected the questionnaire data from male and female senior citizens, and then conducted the multiple regression analysis, independent sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA.
Results : In the results of examining the effects of dietary lifestyle on the dietary attitude, the factors were analyzed as meal management-type, taste pursuit-type, convenience pursuit-type, and wellbeing pursuit-type. The meal management-type and taste pursuit-type had significantly positive effects on the dietary attitude while the convenience pursuit-type had negative effects on it. The demographic variable as a control variable, and the wellbeing pursuit-type did not have significant effects on the dietary attitude.
Conclusion : Regarding the differences of dietary attitude in accordance with the demographic characteristics, the income & allowance, place in use, and money spent in market showed significant differences. In the results of post-test, the significant differences were shown only in income & allowance, and money spent in market.
